~Aunt Alice~

Aunt Alice is a lady that I only have a few memories of, however, those memories are significant and they make me smile. Her full name is Alice McGann, she was an actress in her early years. When my dad was working at my Grandpa's gas station in Burbank, Alice and her husband, John would bring their 1961 T-Bird into Tilley's Union to be serviced. My dad worked on it a couple of times. I remember going by her house with my mom and my Aunt Barbara, to check on her and to help her out with whatever. She always slipped me a quarter or a buck before we left. One Christmas she crocheted blankets for me, my mom and Aunt Barbara. They were beautiful. My mom says that she also made crocheted headbands with a huge flower on them and gave us one every time we visited. My dad remembers that her husband John wrote a book and in the book he used the word "gams" to describe female legs (?dont ask, because I have no idea?), anyway, Aunt Alice would go on and on about John's book. My dad also told me that when her husband died, Aunt Alice offered John's car to my dad. Aunt Alice was a very kind person and beautiful too, as you can tell from these pics I came across.
