Aurora also lives in Santa Maria

Tayli and I went to Grover Heights this morning to attend the Awards Ceremony for first graders. Braeden brought home a little note a few days ago, letting us know that she would be receiving an award at this particular ceremony. We had no idea what the award was for, which made it even more exciting. Mrs. Ponomaroff (Brae's Teacher) has taken off to join the 5th grader's at camp for the week, so Braeden's substitute, Mrs. O, presented the awards in her absence. Braeden was the first one from her class to be called up on stage to receive an award, and she didn't hesitate a bit to correct Mrs. O on the pronunciation of her name. She cracks me up. Anyway, she received an Academic Award for Exemplary Academic Performance at Grover Heights Elementary, as you can see from the pic above. She was so proud of herself, as were we all. She is, without a doubt, "one smart cookie!" Good Job Brae! :)
