Grover Beach Fire Burns Two Apartment UnitsInvestigators are looking into a fire that nearly destroyed two Grover Beach apartments Wednesday. No one was injured in the fire on the 1700 block of Manhattan Avenue, although a couple of pets were killed, said David Mathe, an administrative officer for the Arroyo Grande Fire Department. The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known, officials said.
Officials were still trying to determine Wednesday who lives at the two units that were damaged in the blaze. Four fire engines were called to the scene, with crews from Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, Oceano and Cal Fire. The fire was extinguished within a couple of hours.

My mother and I were renting a room in a house that was in a terrible fire earlier today and we lost almost everything, save a few things I left in my car that day and our Chihuahua puppy, who was hurt. The Red Cross is providing temporary housing until something permanent can be found. I thank God I left my laptop in the car! However, I did lose many priceless things and necessities, including our cell phones, a brand new iPod, clothes, my textbooks, beds, and family heirlooms. Here are a few of the vital things my mom and I need:

*Veterinary Care

WANTED: **Women & Mens Clothing** HOUSE FIRE in Grover Beach, Please
This evening my neighbors house caught on fire, in fact it was just onthe local news. They lost everything. If anyone has any clothes in the following size, it would be a great help for them. Currently they are in a hotel, but will need other items in the future. There are no children involved thankfully, but very sadly they lost a pet, and another is injured.
