Tayli and I took Brae to her dentist appointment today. I was feeling quite anxious about what would be found in my child's mouth, considering her oral hygiene is not always the best. In the waiting room, Tayli is saying things like, "The dentist is going to flip out when he looks at Braeden's teeth." and "She should have listened to me when I told her to take care of her teeth, she's going to regret it when she hears what the dentist has to say." I tell Tayli that she's not making me feel any better and I've already prepared myself for the worst. Then the dentist walks up to the receptionist's with Braeden's x-rays and I hear him say, "See that one is red and this one over here is black." Whatever that means......... but I'm sure the "black" is probably tooth decay or a big hole. Next, Braeden and the nurse are walking toward me and Tay in the waiting room & the nurse says, "Are you Braeden's mom?" For a split second, it crosses my mind to say, "No" and point to the only other lady in the waiting room, "She is" But, of course, I said yes. Boy were we surprised when she tells us that Braeden's check up went very well, her mouth looks great, no cavities & she was an exceptionally well behaved patient. That made my day, made Tayli mad & made Brae so happy that she could rub it in Tayli's face. Silly Sisters, I guess it's normal? Anyway, Yay Braeden for being a better brusher than we believed!! :)
