AGHS Open House

Tayli and I, along with my dad, attended the open house for all freshman at Arroyo Grande High School. Wow, that campus has changed tremendously (for the better). It's beautiful. First, we listened to various speakers in the multi-purpose room. For example, the principal, head of counseling, supervisor of the attendance office, etc. After that, we purchased Tay's yearbook and activity sticker that goes on her ASB card. Then we enjoyed the BBQ food that was served and watched a performance by the AGHS cheerleaders, which was really good! Once 6pm rolled around, we began venturing to each one of Tay's classes to meet with her teachers and listen to them speak about their particular class curriculum. My dad and I were very impressed with all of her teachers and I was extremely impressed with how involved parents can be with their child's learning, due to the improved technology offered these days. It's great! While we were at Tay's open house, my mom was attending the open house for Brae's gymnastic program that she is starting on Monday. Thank goodness for grandparents, being a single mom can be quite overwhelming when you need to be in two places at the same time. Plus, the leotard, tights, etc. that is required for Brae to wear at gymnastics was half off at the open house only. So that saved me a bunch. Thanks Mom and Dad, I appreciate your help with the girls more than you know. :)
