Crews investigating South County Power outage

By Stephen Curran

PG&E crews continued investigating the cause of a power outage that left 1,400 customers in the dark tonight.

J.D. Guidi, a spokesman for the utility, said the outage affected an area north of Highway 101 near the sewer farm. Power was lost about 8 p.m., he said, and had not been restored by 10:30 p.m.

A cause had not been determined, Guidi said, and power is expected to be restored early Saturday morning.

Talk about spooky! My mom, Brae and I were in church this evening, intently listening to Pastor Salsbury give another one of his awesome sermons, when suddenly the place went completely dark. At first there was this eerie silence until Pastor Ron began talking again. Unfortunately, the service ended early and the outdoor fellowship, planned for after service, was cancelled :( BUT, I was soooo happy to see Pastor Ron! :) Don't get me wrong, his replacements that have been filling in while he's on vacation have been great, but there's something special about Pastor Ron that makes me feel so excited about going to church and keeps me motivated to do so. What a great surprise it was to see him tonight.
